Hello, I’m Hanna Bush!

I am a Technical Writer at Amazon in Dublin, Ireland.

Before coming to work at Amazon, I completed my Master of Library and Information Studies degree at University College Dublin.

I’m passionate about knowledge management, user guide documentation, web navigation, digital curation and preservation, open access, libraries, and the organisation and retrieval of information.

I currently work as a Technical Writer at Amazon Data Services Limited in Dublin, Ireland.

I completed my Master of Library and Information Studies degree at University College Dublin in Autumn 2016 with first-level honours, finishing top of the class. I focused my study on digital curation and cultural heritage preservation. I have done volunteer work with the the Digital Repository of Ireland and the Irish Photo Archive. Before starting work at Amazon I worked at the Irish Traditional Music Archive, where I was part of a metadata task force working to overhaul the metadata practices and procedures for the Archive. I also served as part of a team that built and populated the digital archive at the Irish Hospice Foundation. In addition, I was a member of a team who built a digital research repository for the School of Information and Communication Studies at UCD.

Before moving to Ireland to pursue my graduate studies, I worked for five years as a designer and editor at daily newspapers in North Dakota and the U.S. Virgin Islands. For examples of my work at newspapers, please visit my Journalism page.

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wyoming with two bachelor’s degrees: a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Women’s Studies. While obtaining my degrees, I worked as a staff reporter, photographer and eventually as editor-in-chief of the daily student newspaper, The Branding Iron. In addition, I worked full-time as a resident assistant in student housing.
